See the Hamilton Henderson Community Garden located on the grounds of the Wyeth Tootle Mansion. Hamilton Henderson, was an influential member of St. Joseph dedicated to the community.

The Wyeth Tootle Mansion is graced with a Monarch Waystation certified pollinator garden. The addition of a community garden plot adjacent to this magical garden seemed to be a good fit. The St. Joseph Community Garden has gifted two apple trees along with one peach tree. The benefits of having the pollinator garden nearby will make for some bountiful harvests.

 

We have established an in-ground planting of sweet corn, green beans, herbs, squashes, melons, and a 20 ft. row of tomatoes.

 

This season's planter boxes are growing more tomatoes, potatoes, and succession plantings of cold weather crops.

 

Visit the mansion and stay a while longer in the gardens!
